ELO XML

In today’s IT world, it is expected that a software can be integrated into a heterogeneous environment and respond in a flexible manner to customer requirements. Ideally, in doing so, the software will adapt to the business processes and not vice versa. ELO has a large number of modules available which are based on the ELO interfaces for integration into business applications such as ERP, CRM, e-mail and portals are available.

The key wording information is located in this. The ELO XML importer takes both files, evaluates the XML file and files the document away in the right place in the ELO document archive with the corresponding key wording. There is no longer any need to manually pick out the key wording information in the documents. The XML importer automatically archives the documents in ELO. As a result, there is very little programming effort required. The agreement to set up the key wording file in advance is all that is important, the XML importer takes care of the rest itself.

ELO Barcode

ELO Barcode allows you to automate the time-consuming processing of paper documents. Scanned documents are automatically indexed (keyworded), assigned to a process and archived.

In particular, the module can considerably reduce the workload involved in dealing with delivery notes, orders, surveys, and much more. Barcodes are either applied to the document when printing it out in the respective DP system or stuck on to the document after it has been printed out. ELO Barcode recognises the barcodes when the documents are scanned in and systematically evaluates this information.

The keywording information is then automatically allocated and the documents are filed in the archive without manual processing. A press of the button is all that is needed to search for the archived documents. ELO is then automatically handling work processes which previously would have taken up a lot of time if they had been carried out manually.

ELO Barcode reliably and automatically identifies the different barcode types on the documents that have been scanned in (EAN 8, EAN 13, Code 39, 2 of 5 interleaved, Code 25 interleaved, UPCA, UPCE, etc.). For the purposes of searching for the documents, ELO Barcode converts the recognised barcodes into keywording information.

The possibility to link the barcode contents together in order to generate individual keywording information is another advantage. In this way, the barcode on a document can point to information already available in the archive regarding a customer, order, etc. and automatically lead activity-related processes to the information. Typical scenarios for using ELO Barcode can be found, amongst others, in the area of incoming invoices together with ELO DocXtractor and ELO OCR and also in the area of contract management.

ELO Cold

The COLD module facilitates the import of mass data from central business applications. In older but still stable DP systems in particular, ELO COLD can replicate the intelligence needed to ensure automated and quick document archiving.

The ELO COLD indexing and document archiving system consists of logical functional groups which ensure smooth management of large quantities of data. The module imports output streams such as print data into the ELO document archive. COLD automatically extracts indexes and archives invoices, delivery notes and other documents at very high speeds. There is no longer any need for time-consuming scanning or manual keywording.

ELO COLD can take data from a host system or the world of Windows applications. The information can be archived as raw data or converted into a displayable document (TIFF, PDF). If a TIFF printer has outputted the documents, OCR is used by COLD to query the index information.
