Information Proficiency is an accredited HPE Content Manager (formerly HPE Records Manager / HPE TRIM) training provider. Our courses range from basic End User training to advanced technical knowledge for your IT team.

HPE Content Manager Installation Essentials (HPCM.300)

Course Dates:

Perth

  • 4th - 5th December 2017, 9am - 5pm daily
  • 27th - 28th of February 2018, 9am - 5pm daily

Course Description:

This two-day, administrator-level course covers the installation of Content Manager. It discusses Content Manager installation preparation, Content Manager installation, Enterprise Studio configuration, dataset restoration and upgrade, IDOL Indexing, Content Rendering, the Web Client, and additional Workgroup server configuration and maintenance.

Intended Audience:

This course is intended for those users who are responsible for the set up and initial design of Content Manager; including, but not limited to, Records Managers, senior business staff, power users, and/or core project team members.

Duration:

  • 3 days

Prerequisites:

To be successful in this course, you should have the following prerequisites or knowledge.

  • Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Local security policies and firewalls
  • Active Directory (AD) and creating and administering users and groups
  • Network architecture and common software deployment tools
  • Creating and modifying share permissions
  • Database management and connectivity
  • Office productivity suites, including email systems (for example, MS Office/Outlook)
  • Recommended: Successful completion of CM200, CM110, or equivalent experience (six monthsor more using RM and/or HP Trim in a professional environment)

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the Content Manager application
  • Apply architecture design and considerations
  • Install and configure Content Manager

HPE Content Manager Advanced User (HPCM.110)

Course Dates:

  • 6th December 2017, 9am - 5pm
  • 19th February 2018, 9am - 5pm

Course Description:

This 1-day; User Level course addresses all the core functionality and features of HPE Content Manager. This includes searching for, creating, and maintaining Records. Other components, such as Reports, Activities and Actions, Alerts, User Labels, Dropzone and User Options are also discussed. This course uses the HPE Content Managerdesktop client exclusively.

Intended Audience:

Advanced users of HPE CM software functionality, including but not limited to Records Managers, Records Coordinators, senior business staff, Power Users, and Inquiry Users.

Duration:

  • 1 day

Prerequisites:

To be successful in this course, you should have the following prerequisites or knowledge.

  • Knowledge of records management principles and internal business processes
  • Basic knowledge of and comfort working with software; including simple keyboard and mouse skills, as well as knowledge of MS Office and other Windows-based programs.

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the key features and benefits of Content Manager
  • Navigate and customize the main Content Manager desktop client
  • Use advanced search options
  • Create and manage records within Content Manager
  • Perform document management within Content Manager and native application(s)
  • Create and use document queues
  • Create and send records using the Content Manager-MS Outlook integration

HPE Content Manager Administration Essentials (HPCM.200)

Course Description:

This 2-day Administrator Level course covers the setup and configuration of Content Manager for Enterprise use. It discusses Security, Locations, Retention, Schedules and holds, Classifications/Categories, Record Types, Action Tracking and System Options, Client-Matter Functionality, Traditional Tools, General Trouble Shooting, Audit Configuration Options, IDOL Indexing, Enterprise Studio, Census and Barcodes, Origins and Jurisdictions, System Integrations, Web Client, and Dataport.

Intended Audience:

This course is intended for those users who are responsible for the setup and initial design of HPE Content Manager; including, but not limited to: Senior Business Staff, Power Users, and/or Core Project Team Members.

Duration:

  • 3 days

Prerequisites:

To be successful in this course, you should have the following prerequisites or knowledge.

  • Successful completion of CM110 – HPE Content Manager Advanced User Training or equivalent experience (6 months or more using HPE Content Manager and/or HPE Records Manager in a professional environment)
  • Knowledge of Content Manager and/or Records Management principles and internal business processes
  • Basic knowledge of and comfort working with software; including simple keyboard and mouse skills, as well as knowledge of Web Browsers (Internet Explorer or Chrome) and other Windows-based programs.

Course Objectives:
